Located east of Napa in Coombsville, Mt. George Vineyard is the site of one of the first grape plantings in the valley in the 19th century. It climbs the western slopes of an ancient volcano whose name the vineyard bears. The cooler climate and deep, gravelly soils derived from volcanic rock and ash provide depth and structure to Silverado Vineyards’ wines.

Tasting Notes

The 2023 Malbec opens with bright red cherry, vanilla, toast, and an aroma reminiscent of powdered sugar with whiskey lactones. The palate is beautifully textured, offering layers of plum, cranberry, cedar, creamy fruit and lifting acidity.
