2016 - Poster Series Red Blend

Each year, after we make our final Cabernet blending decisions, there remains a small amount of quality red wine that the winemakers blend together to create a quaffable everyday table wine. The label artwork for each vintage of this wine takes inspiration from the Miller family’s collection of original poster art displayed at the winery.

Vintage Notes The near-perfect 2016 growing season started early, saw ideal weather conditions throughout and wrapped up as the valley's first significant fall rainstorm arrived on October 14. Thanks to a relatively steady and mild July and August and then a series of warm days at the end of the growing season, vineyards were able to progress to perfect ripeness. Tasting Notes This easy-drinking red entices the senses with delicate aromas of pomegranate and bright Bing cherry. Hints of crumbled thyme, tarragon and dusty rose petal greet the palate with a mix of dark plum, raspberry and balanced acidity that moves smoothly into the finish.
